How-To: Importing CAD files

CoDiagnostiX allows you to import CAD files (e.g. STL files) of implants and publish such implants to the Implant Database. Please open the "Implant Designer" and follow the steps involved:

• Select Implant > Import Implant from CAD File from the Implant Designer menu.
• Select and open the file to be imported.

• Check orientation and position in the preview.

The implant in the CAD file must be aligned as follows:

• Z axis corresponds with the implant axis.
• Z positive direction runs to the implant tip.
• Zero point is located in the crestal level.

Click Next to publish your implant.
