Restore of older version after online update


1.   location of the restore folder


During an online update, a backup of the previous version of coDiagnostiX will be created. In case the update needs to be rolled back, this backup can be used.


The backups are located in the following folder.


C:\Program Files(x86)\coDiagnostiX\coDiagnostiX.App\Restore





2.   restoring an older version


To roll back to a previously installed version of coDiagnostiX please follow the following steps.


Please make sure coDiagnostiX is closed and not running in the background before you start the process.


Inside the Restore folder, you will find one or more subfolders with the version number being the folder name.



Open the folder with the version number you would like to roll back to.


Inside the folder, open the three-dot-menu and select “Select all”.



Now, with all files selected, click on the copy-icon in the toolbar of the Windows Explorer.



After that, go two directory levels up, back to the coDiagnostiX.App folder.


Here, find and click the paste-icon to start replacing the files.



In the following prompt, select “Replace the files in the destination”.



The current files will now be replaced by the files from the Restore folder.


You may be asked to provide administrator permission to copy to the folder. Set the check mark for “Do this for all current items” and click on Continue. Administrator credentials may need to be provided.



After the copy process is done, you can start coDiagnostiX the usual way, and you will find the version number according to the Restore subfolder you copied from.
