Network Database and Merging Databases
General Information:
The process of moving and consolidating your two local databases into one is quite simple as long as you do not need concurrent use.
The database technology delivered with coDiagnostiX is a single user database. After following the steps below, either user will be able to connect to the central database and plan cases, but not at the same time. If they need concurrent (simultaneous) use, then the database will need to be swapped out.
The only multi-user database supported by coDiagnostiX is Microsoft SQL Server. This is a separate technology that you would need to purchase, install, and configure.
Once it is running, coDiagnostiX can store cases there and share the patient list among multiple simultaneous users. We do not sell or provide technical support for the MS SQL Server. We offer technical support for the connection to the MS SQL Server.
Network database setup and how to move the existing default database:
For "one-at-a-time" access, follow the steps below to move your database to a central location:
- Be aware that any modification to the default database setup and configuration is in the responsibility of the user, wrongdoing could result in data loss! Please contact the 2nd LVL coDiagnostiX Customer Support if you need assistance here.
