How to transfer database in coDiagnostiX

To transfer the patient-database from one coDiagnostiX installation to another you have to backup the database in the first step.

A backup of the database can be done by creating a copy of the database folder using Windows Explorer. The default database path is: 

C:\ProgramData\coDiagnostiX\coDiagnostiX.App\Database

If you have saved the database at another location you need to locate it first. 

In order to do this you need to open coDiagnostiX and navigate to management:

Click on "Change database":

And you will see this window with the current path:

Now you can copy the database over to the new directory or computer where you want to use it.

To do this, just copy the folder and paste it to your new directory.

In order to import the database you need to go to the database directory of the computer you want to copy the database to. 

Copy and paste the copied database directory to the new path: 

C:\ProgramData\coDiagnostiX\coDiagnostiX.App\Database (default path)

Open coDiagnostiX and navigate to "Management" again, then open "Maintain and repair":

After this you need to "Rebuild patient index database" in order to see the cases within you database in coDiagnostiX:

If you can see the message above, your patients have been restored and you can begin to work with your database.
